How to use iUnity

After installation, iUnity will automatically recognize the Vortex View if all connections are correct.
If your screen shows the Windows interface, setup is complete.
If the Vortex View screen is blank (unpowered), blank bar lit, or stuck on the Antec logo:
See the FAQ below for more detailed troubleshooting steps.

Once Windows detects the Vortex View display as a native monitor, you can configure its layout and orientation just like any other display.
Note: When your PC sleeps or the display times out, Windows stops sending video output to all connected screens. The Vortex View display will go dark, but the pump and lighting remain active.

Once Windows detects the Vortex View display as a native monitor, you can begin adjusting display, cooling, and lighting settings.
FAQ
+ My Vortex View panel and RGB lights are not reconnecting after waking from sleep.
+ Page 20 of the manual refers to washers needed to install the radiator onto the case, but no washers appear in the accessory kit.
+ Which USB and fan headers should the Vortex View connect to on my motherboard?
Connect the radiator fans to any 4-pin PWM fan header using the included 3-to-1 splitter cable. Connect the pump to either the CPU_FAN or AIO_PUMP header, depending on your motherboard’s layout.
Refer to your motherboard’s manual for the correct header locations and any specific recommendations for AIO pumps or cooling systems.
+ Can the pump orientation be adjusted freely?
+ What's the correct way to mount the radiator and fans for best performance?
+ The pump is running, but CPU temperatures seem high. What should I check
+ My screen shows only the Antec logo. What should I do
If the Vortex View 360 powers on and shows the Antec logo but doesn’t proceed further, the panel may not be initializing correctly.
- Make sure the USB cable is connected to the USB hub, and that the hub is properly connected to the motherboard.
- Confirm that iUnity is installed. If necessary, reinstall it. iUnity includes the driver bundle that allows Windows to recognize the panel as a native display.
- Restart your PC to reinitialize communication with the panel.
If the screen still shows only the logo after restarting, open iUnity → Settings → Event Log, download your log file, and reach out to our support team at https://www.antec.com/support
+ My screen is blank but the panel has power. How can I fix this
If the panel powers on (RGB lighting and pump are active) but the display remains blank, the video handshake between Windows and the Vortex View screen may have been interrupted.
- 1. Restart your PC to reestablish communication with the display.
- Ensure that iUnity is running in the background. The display requires iUnity to push video output and control data.
- Confirm that the USB hub and display cables are securely connected to the motherboard and internal headers.
- If the issue persists, reinstall iUnity to refresh the driver bundle and reconnect the display service.
If the screen remains blank after these steps, open iUnity → Settings → Event Log, download your latest log file, and reach out to our support team at https://www.antec.com/support for review.
+ What should I do if the Vortex View panel isn't detected by Windows
First, check what the Vortex View panel is showing:
If the Antec logo appears but nothing else loads, follow the steps in “My screen shows only the Antec logo. What should I do?”
If the panel is powered on (lighting or pump active) but the screen stays completely blank, follow the steps in “My screen is blank but the panel has power. How can I fix this?”
+ Why does my Vortex View display go blank when my PC sleeps or the screen times out
+ My display is rotated or facing the wrong direction. How do I adjust it
Once the necessary software and drivers are installed, Windows will recognize the Vortex View panel as an external monitor. Because Windows can’t detect the panel’s physical orientation, you’ll need to adjust it manually:
- 1. Open Display Settings in Windows.
- Select the correct monitor (use the Identify button if you’re unsure which is which).
- Under Scale & Layout, find Display Orientation and choose the correct setting (Landscape, Portrait, etc.).
- Apply the change to correct the display.
+ Why does the temperature on the Vortex View panel differ from the Flux Pro display
+ Do I need to keep iUnity running at all times
For optimal performance, we recommend keeping iUnity running at all times. If iUnity is closed, the pump will continue to operate in its default state, but you’ll lose access to the Vortex View display, RGB customization, and other iUnity features such as fan control.
We understand that some users prefer lightweight setups or use other software for system management. To support this, iUnity includes a toggle option that allows you to disable fan control while keeping other features active. This ensures minimal system resource usage and gives you flexibility in choosing your preferred control software.

+ My cursor moves outside certain apps unexpectedly. Why does this happen
This is a known issue related to the Vortex View Mouse Lock feature. It can occasionally override fullscreen behavior in certain applications, allowing the cursor to move outside the app window. We are working on a permanent fix.
In the meantime, toggle Mouse Lock off as a temporary workaround.
